The same category from more than one publisher. The national statistics office is the record; the IMF's series are its own compilation and can differ in definition, coverage and vintage.

Published basket and base

Each FSO original basket and reference base remains separate. FSO backcasts are retained as published; no classifications or bases are spliced. FSO crosswalk links open historical lines separately. Original 1914-basket detail starts in 1921 and 1939-base detail starts in April 1950. Source blanks, suppression marks and spreadsheet errors remain absent. The 2000-basket annual seasonal component panel differs from the summary panel in 1993; both source panels remain separate. Original basket weights are shares of that basket, and implicit quantities are not treated as weights. The 2000 basket has twelve source-coded divisions in its additive partition; three overlapping source aggregates are shown separately. Six 1977-basket series are source-suppressed in October–December 1977. The retired 2015 basket publishes zero December 2016 annual rates for frozen fruit and winter-sports-equipment services that differ from its own indices; both source quantities are retained. Historical rounded headline presentations can differ from the rates stored beside them; both published quantities are retained. The 2020 basket annual taxi index contains published zeros for 1984–1992. Four 1966-basket annual indices differ from the means of their published monthly values. The 2000 basket uses different annual and monthly wording for coffee/cocoa and nutritional drinks; frequencies remain separate and exports retain each source label.

Frequency

Frequencies are separate source series, not interchangeable observations. Annual measures retain their source definitions.
