The same category from more than one publisher. The national statistics office is the record; the IMF's series are its own compilation and can differ in definition, coverage and vintage.
The 2008 basket covers Niamey only. National population coverage and classifications change between the 2014 and 2023 baskets. INS's linked 2022–2024 legacy series are not the current 2023 basket. Pre-2025 national comparison columns are also separate: INS links older-basket history and identifies exceptions for newly introduced groups. Families remain separate; values are never spliced. Ambiguously dated comparison copies are excluded where other clearly dated INS tables supply the history. Published rates remain unchanged. Some printed comparisons disagree with their rates, and later index comparisons can revise earlier vintages; source discrepancies are preserved.
Older economic zones and current regions are distinct. The Niamey agglomeration is not the current Niamey region. Regional weights are shares of the national basket, not 100% local baskets. Retail prices retain each product's stated sack, mass or litre unit.
Annual CPI observations are published calendar-year averages, not December values. Published annual rates can reflect earlier index vintages. Basket weights are static dated reference-year shares; they are displayed with the monthly CPI, never repeated each month.

| Checked against the immutable INS bundle ins_niger/cpi/20261025T001932Z (monthly_national2014): every flagged rate equals its printed bulletin cell and agrees with the levels printed in its own bulletin. Two original bulletins printed defective levels that INS later corrected, and the stored index keeps the corrected, latest level. (1) May 2020 (IHPCB2014_Mai_2020.doc, Table 2): all 41 NCOA group rows repeat their May 2019 level in the May 2020 column, so every group 12-month rate is printed 0.0 and the May and June 2020 one-month rates are computed from the stale level. The July and August 2020 bulletins print corrected May levels, which reproduce the printed division levels under fixed group weights; the original column misses by up to 4.6 points. Example G45: published 0.0% year on year (May) and +3.3% month on month (June) against 2.5% and 0.7% implied. (2) September 2023 Table 3: the durable, semi-durable and non-durable rows print the primary-, secondary- and tertiary-sector indices (137.1, 123.4, 114.9) and the tertiary weight 2,208. The printed rates (durable +30.7% month on month, +32.3% year on year, October -23.3%) follow from them, and October-December 2023 repeat them. The September 2024 bulletin restates September 2023 as 104.8, 109.6 and 128.5. Every other disagreement over one point in these 66 series is the November 2022 comparison column registered separately. The 48 group rate series added on 2026-10-26 were previously reported at November 2021 because the stored index took that bulletin's defective comparison column; the connector's reviewed comparison-copy registry now keeps the four agreeing earlier copies, and their remaining May-June 2020 months are this event. | ||||||

| Checked against ins_niger/cpi/20261025T001932Z (monthly_national2014). The November 2022 bulletin (sha256 52a541268bd739a8396ae4a0e1b09b5104e0683bee98f43ad3a2b00f38d0d6dc) prints its November 2021 group column equal to November 2022 for all 41 NCOA groups, so every group 12-month rate is printed 0.0. The November 2021, December 2021, January 2022 and February 2022 bulletins agree on November 2021 for every group, and the same table's division rows and rates agree with them. Connector registry entry national2014-2022-11-prior-year-equals-current excludes that column from precedence only. These 26 series are the groups whose printed 0.0 misses the implied rate by more than one point, for example G96 0.0% against +20.9% (137.7 against 113.9) and G11 0.0% against +5.5%. The published rates are preserved. | ||||||

| Checked against ins_niger/cpi/20261025T001932Z (monthly_national2023); every flagged rate equals its printed bulletin cell. Five source events explain all 67 open rows of the 2023-base family. (1) The December 2025 bulletin printed December group levels that do not aggregate to its own division levels (all 13 divisions off under the printed group weights; every other December 2025-April 2026 column aggregates within 0.15). January and February 2026 repeated them, and March 2026 restated 46 of 48 groups to levels that aggregate correctly. The stored index uses the restatement, so the December 2025 and January 2026 one-month rates are computed from the defective level, for example G0906 -55.3% then +124.4% against +0.4% and -0.2%. (2) March 2026 Table 5 reprints February 2026's one-month and 12-month rate columns for 39 of 48 groups while the index columns advance; all 24 flagged March cells equal February's. (3) June 2025 Table 4's Juin-24 regional column contradicts the same rows' printed 12-month rates in all eight regions (Dosso -4.1% printed, +7.1% implied); it is the only copy of those levels and is preserved. (4) March 2025 printed Agadez February/March as 107.9/108.8 where every other copy prints 101.6/105.1. (5) November 2025 printed national fresh products October/November as 94.3/95.5 where every other copy prints 97.1/96.2. Published rates are preserved, not recomputed. | ||||||

| Checked against ins_niger/cpi/20261025T005321Z (monthly_niamey2008); every flagged rate equals its bulletin cell and agrees with the levels printed in its own bulletin. (1) The December 2015-July 2016 Niamey bulletins print prior-year columns for the secondary aggregates that systematically restate the 2015 originals (energy 85.9-86.1 instead of 84.2-84.4 every month; semi-durables about 94 instead of about 102.8), and each 2016 12-month rate is computed from the restated column. The stored index takes the latest copy, so December 2014-July 2015 hold restated levels while the 2014-2015 rates use the originals. (2) The February 2018 bulletin revises January 2018 levels and marks them with an asterisk (headline 116,1*); March and April 2018 agree, and the January 2018 rates were computed from the first print. Both vintages are internally consistent; the January 2018 revision also moves division 4 and group 45, added on 2026-10-26 (published +9.1% and +21.3% month on month against +6.7% and +14.8% implied by the revised level). February and May 2015 are the same restated-2015 mechanism as the other months listed. The defective 2016 division and 2015 group comparison columns are no longer the stored index: the connector's reviewed comparison-copy registry keeps the four agreeing earlier copies, and the 2015 group rates they produced are registered separately. | ||||||

The June, July, August and September 2014 bulletins agree on June 2014 for every group; the same table's division rows agree with them. Connector registry entry niamey2008-2015-06-permuted-prior-year-groups excludes the column from precedence only. Example G102: +120.1% published against +4.8% implied; G11 +17.6% against +0.8%.
