Consumer prices · 5,477 categories · latest 2026-09-01
The same category from more than one publisher. The national statistics office is the record; the IMF's series are its own compilation and can differ in definition, coverage and vintage.
CBS reference bases, classifications, constant-tax indices, household baskets and twelve-month moving averages remain separate. Older bases include source-published linked estimates. Hospital services restart on December 2023=100 in the 2015 classification; two categories start on December 2024=100. CBS's recalculated 2011 indices continue the 2006-base history; original 2011 indices and rates remain a separate slice. Source blanks and retired categories remain gaps. Related broad categories are discovery counterparts; values are never spliced.
Frequencies are separate source series, not interchangeable observations. Annual measures retain their source definitions.

Both published values are retained separately; the source metadata does not explain the difference. The 2025 CPI basket has 15 source-native top-level divisions. Overlapping special aggregates are separate and are not extra basket divisions. Annual figures are CBS's published annual observations, not locally resampled monthly values. | CBS retrospectively recalculated its 2011 monthly CPI after changing how package holidays and air tickets were observed, and publishes both presentations in tables 71311ENG, 71313ENG and 81135ENG: rows 2011MM01-12 (original) and 2011X001-12 (recalculated). In the archived StatLine response of 2026-10-25 every recalculated row has null month-on-month and year-on-year fields (0 of 3,228 in 71311ENG, 0 of 84 in 71313ENG, 0 of 36 in 81135ENG), while the original rows carry them. The connector continues the 2006-base index history with the recalculated levels and keeps the original 2011 levels and rates as a separately labelled family (connectors/cbs_netherlands.py, CBS_NETHERLANDS.md). No recalculated rate is derived, so these rate series correctly have no 2011 values. This settles the 1,057 frequency_gap rows dated 2010-12-01, each reporting exactly the January-December 2011 gap, across the CPI, constant-tax, frequent-purchase and underlying-inflation families. | ||||||
