The same category from more than one publisher. The national statistics office is the record; the IMF's series are its own compilation and can differ in definition, coverage and vintage.
INSEED's 2011=100 IHPC covers households resident in Moroni. Detailed months follow the official bulletin catalogue; unpublished bulletin months are not filled. INSEED changed the published weight of Other fuels from 250 to 49 parts per 10,000 in January 2023. The June 2023 analytical index header repeats May, so those June index levels remain absent while its published rates are kept. The source also leaves the March 2021 annual rate for Other fuels and the November 2023 annual rate for Fresh products blank; missing rates are derived only when the source index publishes both calendar inputs. In March 2024, INSEED publishes 2.2% as the annual rate for Other fuels although the displayed index levels imply about 4.0%; both source values are preserved without correction.

| INSEED publishes each rate beside five index columns in that month's workbook, but it revises comparison levels across later bulletins. The database's detailed index history deliberately keeps each bulletin's own current-month level, so the generic cross-month QA comparison can combine two source vintages and is not a like-for-like rate test. All 4,030 available rate cells were instead checked against their own workbook's current, previous-month and prior-year columns: 4,029 agree within 0.25 percentage points. The parser now enforces that bound. The one exception is INSEED's March-2024 Other-fuels annual rate, printed as 2.2% although the same row's levels imply about 4.0%; both published values are retained and disclosed. | ||||||

| The full INSEED theme-105 catalogue was reviewed: 81 genuine IHPC bulletins span March 2016 through August 2026, while one COVID survey is explicitly excluded. Every catalogue workbook was archived. The exact primary gaps above have no bulletin; the analytical classification begins in January 2023 and has the exact later catalogue gaps listed above. The June 2023 analytical header repeats May rather than naming June, and the November 2023 Fresh-products annual-rate cell is blank. No missing month is interpolated or derived. | ||||||

| The five flagged Food, Fish, Vegetables and Other-fuels cells are present in INSEED's archived current-month index columns. Their same-workbook monthly rates reproduce the sharp movements to source rounding, and the connector's row-order, weight and period checks rule out a shifted category or column. INSEED does not identify a category-specific base change at these dates. The values are therefore source-published category volatility, not evidence of a connector splice; they remain unmodified. | ||||||
