The IMF originally published a base break with no revision behind it: Dec 2024 was 303.7 and Jan 2025 was 101.1, while the series declared 'Multiple' reference periods. Its own MoM and YoY series divided across the break and read about -66% in 2025. The IMF corrected this in the restatement accepted 2026-09-14 (vintage 44): it rescaled the earlier index history onto a 2024 reference period, making Dec 2024 100.76032 beside Jan 2025 101.1, and revised the rates consistently. This entry remains as the durable record of a confirmed source defect that the source later fixed; the reader warning is removed because it no longer describes the current observations.
